Shop / bilstein 5100 shocks set
Bilstein's 5100 series shocks are designed to enhance road handling characteristics both on and off-road, thanks to their monotube design and 46mm digressive piston. The single tube body allows for rapid heat transfer from the shock oil to the shock body, and further dissipation to reduce shock fade. The combination of German engineering and US manufacturing ensures optimum performance and longevity for upwards of 100,000 miles, as evidenced by real customer feedback.
Compared to the 4600 series, the 5100 series is more compliant in tougher situations and off-road terrain. Factory-spec vehicles, however, should use the 4600 series shocks, as the valving is more appropriate for daily-driven vehicles and pavement environments.
The part number for the front pair of two shock absorbers is 24-185776. These shocks are extended length, suitable for 2.5-4" front lift systems, and designed for 4WD vehicles. The package includes all necessary washers, bushings, reservoir clamps, and nuts, while the factory shock mounting bolts are reused for installation. Mounting plates are sold separately.
Bilstein offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty for these shock absorbers, ensuring their quality and durability.
